• (4) Proceedings for expressing the invalidity are initiated ex officio. It can be initiated by the Rector as well:

• a) at the very latest 3 years after the legal effect of the decision by which a particular person was sentenced for an intentional crime, if the case as per Paragraph (2) a) applies; or
• b) at the very latest 3 years from the date of performing the state examination or apparently performing the state examination or its last part or of the Doctoral thesis defence, if it is the case pursuant to Paragraph (2) b).

• (5) If the Rector has not found any reasons for the statement of invalidity of the thesis defence or its part in accordance with (2), proceedings for the statement of the invalidity shall be discontinued.

Noch zwei Überlegungen/Fragen:

• Vielleicht wäre es sinnvoll, im Bericht exemplarisch nur auf 2 der 5 paper näher einzugehen (etwa S01 und S02)? S03 ist ja wohl ohnehin erst nach der Promotionsphase entstanden und S04 provoziert zwar interessante Fragen, plagbezogen ist (bleibt?) aber noch einiges ungeklärt.
• Lässt sich irgendwie feststellen bzw. gibt es Indizien (Fehler, ungewöhnliche Formulierungen), wie die Übersetzung der deutschen Textvorlagen erfolgte: manuell oder automatisiert (DeepL o.a.)?

• Ja, da bieten sich aktuell S01 und S02 an. S02 ist doppelt veröffentlicht. Möglicherweise wären dann mit 2 gleich 3 Paper erledigt. S04 könnte eines der 5 erwähnten Paper sein. Ein paar Plagiate und sonst viel wenig aussagekräftiger Text.
• In Bezug auf die Dissertation gibt es viele Stellen, die darauf hinweisen, dass die Arbeit zumindest nicht von einem Menschen mit guten Englischkenntnissen übersetzt wurde. In der Tat: Ein Mensch (mit wachem Verstand) würde/sollte/müsste so einen Fehler in der Vorlage bei der Übersetzung bemerkt haben. Könnte in den Befunden miterwähnt werden. (In den VPW-Berichten werden zwar Mutmaßungen bewusst vermieden, aber eine Anmerkung sollte möglich sein, dass einerseits ungewiss bleibt, auf welchem Weg die Übersetzung der übernommenen Inhalte erfolgte, es andererseits in dieser Hinsicht aber bestimmte Auffälligkeiten im Text gibt.) -- Schumann (Diskussion) 22:09, 13. The text presented as direct quotation was obviously translated from Ruthus 2013, omitting part of the text. In the original source, the quoted sentence begins on page 114 and not on page 115 as stated.
